This role leads all environmental, health and safety programmes across two manufacturing operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance and continuous risk reduction. You'll act as the site EHS authority while driving accountability, cultural change and proactive safety leadership.

Job Description

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations and applicable local, state and federal standards.
  • Lead the implementation of behaviour‑based safety programmes and environmental compliance systems with a zero‑incident mindset.
  • Serve as the local subject‑matter expert on EHS standards, policies and best practices.
  • Drive accountability for safety and environmental performance at all levels of the organisation.
  • Lead EHS audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives across site operations.
  • Develop and maintain emergency action plans and strong relationships with local emergency responders and authorities.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to identify risks, implement mitigation strategies and improve site safety performance.
  • Manage all internal and external EHS reporting, permitting and regulatory submissions.
  • Lead accident investigations, root cause analysis and the development of preventative controls.
  • Conduct and oversee health and safety monitoring programmes (air, noise, ergonomics, etc.).
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes and proactively assess their impact on site operations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 5-10 years' experience in Environmental, Health & Safety within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead cultural change and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience managing audits, regulatory reporting and permitting requirements.
