Job Description

Technical Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical and embedded systems engineers.
  • Provide technical direction across hardware, firmware, and systems development activities.
  • Foster a collaborative culture focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
  • Support career growth, performance development, and succession planning within the team.



Product Development & System Architecture

  • Drive the design and development of advanced electronic systems from concept through qualification and production.
  • Architect power electronics solutions including DC-DC converters, motor drives, and motor control systems.
  • Provide expertise in FPGA-based and microprocessor-driven embedded designs.
  • Guide PCB development activities using industry-leading design and simulation tools.



Manufacturing & Quality

  • Establish manufacturing test strategies to support seamless production ramp-up.
  • Develop and implement test methodologies, procedures, and supporting documentation.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective action initiatives to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure products meet high-reliability, operational, and quality requirements.



Program & Business Support

  • Support proposal development, bid activities, and technical scoping efforts.
  • Estimate engineering effort, resource requirements, and project schedules.
  • Track technical progress and provide accurate program forecasts and ETC estimates.
  • Proactively manage technical risks while balancing cost, schedule, and performance objectives.



Customer Engagement

  • Act as a key technical interface with customers and stakeholders.
  • Lead technical reviews, program updates, and customer presentations.
  • Communicate complex engineering concepts effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant industry experience and 4+ years of people leadership experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of industry experience and 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • Proven background within aerospace, defense, military, or other high-reliability electronics environments.
  • Strong expertise in power electronics, including DC-DC converters, motor drivers, and motor control systems.
  • Experience developing FPGA and microprocessor-based embedded systems.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Altium, LTspice, LabVIEW, and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated success leading engineering teams in fast-paced technical environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
