Electrical Project Development Engineer

• Develop project design bases, engineering assumptions, design criteria, scope boundaries, and exclusions for project opportunities.
• Prepare conceptual engineering deliverables, including:
  • Single-line diagrams
  • Equipment layouts
  • Bills of material (BOMs)
  • Equipment specifications
  • Technical datasheets
  • Procurement inquiry packages
• Support estimating activities through:
  • Quantity takeoffs
  • Equipment selection
  • Labor and productivity assumptions
  • Schedule development inputs
  • Technical clarifications
• Review client requirements, specifications, drawings, and site information to identify:
  • Technical risks
  • Scope gaps
  • Constructability concerns
  • Design uncertainties
• Collaborate with estimators, project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and subject matter experts to develop complete project definitions and estimate-ready packages.
• Apply engineering standards, company design practices, and established governance processes throughout project development.
• Participate in technical reviews, proposal development efforts, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Document engineering assumptions, lessons learned, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Support project handoff activities by providing complete and well-documented development packages for detailed engineering and execution teams.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
