The Engineering & Maintenance Manager will oversee both the day-to-day execution and long-term strategic direction of the facility's engineering and maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in driving operational excellence, maximizing equipment performance and reliability, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description

  • Lead daily operations of engineering and maintenance teams, including preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Drive reductions in equipment downtime and maintenance-related costs
  • Determine appropriate staffing levels, skill development, and technical training programs
  • Take a hands-on leadership approach with equipment troubleshooting and repairs as needed
  • Champion process improvements and support implementation of new manufacturing processes
  • Manage and develop a team of engineers and technical professionals, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Foster a high-performance culture with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and execute engineering strategies that support plant and organizational goals
  • Identify and implement innovative technical solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Evaluate existing processes and drive ongoing improvements to optimize workflows and performance

The Successful Applicant

  • A strong background in engineering and maintenance
  • ​​Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Background in leading lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Experience in budget management and cost optimization.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and data analysis tools.
