Job Description

  • Lead design and development of detector systems and instrumentation
  • Provide technical oversight across hardware, firmware, and software
  • Ensure products meet performance and manufacturability standards
  • Drive design reviews, trade studies, and root cause analysis
  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and develop talent
  • Foster a collaborative and high‑performance engineering culture
  • Coordinate with Operations, Quality, and Product teams
  • Support prototyping, testing, and production ramp‑up
  • Manage project schedules, resources, and priorities
  • Lead NPI efforts using structured project methodologies
  • Interface with global teams and manufacturing sites
  • Improve engineering processes and documentation standards
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and design control practices

The Successful Applicant

A successful Engineering Manager should have:

  • BS or higher in Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • 8+ years of engineering experience with 2+ years leadership
  • Experience leading development of complex hardware systems
  • Strong background in electronics, sensors, or instrumentation
  • Knowledge of embedded systems or radiation detection preferred
  • Strong project management and decision‑making skills
  • Experience working with manufacturing and quality teams
  • Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration
  • PMP certification or advanced degree a plus
