Job Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineering personnel while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Manage engineering priorities, project assignments, and resource planning to ensure business objectives are achieved.
  • Oversee engineering projects throughout the full lifecycle, from research and development through commercial production.
  • Drive process development, qualification activities, validation efforts, and technical documentation standards.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, productivity, quality, and technical capability enhancement.
  • Collaborate with customers to define technical requirements and ensure successful project execution.
  • Support commercial activities including project scoping, feasibility assessments, cost analysis, and quotation support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and strategic business partners.
  • Work closely with production, quality, purchasing, and finance teams to ensure successful product launches and operational readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and internal engineering standards.
  • Provide technical leadership in manufacturing processes, problem-solving activities, and engineering decision-making.
  • Contribute to strategic planning discussions relating to technology investments, equipment upgrades, and future growth opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience with leadership or supervisory responsibility.
  • Experience managing engineering projects and supporting product development and manufacturing activities.
  • Strong understanding of process development, validation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Manufacturing experience within a technical or regulated environment.
  • Ability to lead and develop engineering teams while promoting accountability and professional growth.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience supporting business development, quotations, cost analysis, or technical feasibility reviews.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, engineering software, and data-driven decision-making tools.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and compliance-driven manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies or joining/welding processes would be advantageous.
