The operation is fast‑paced, engineering‑driven, and focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration between engineering and production.Job DescriptionIn this role you will report directly into the Director of Engineering and be responsible for:Managing and developing a team of engineers while providing clear technical direction and leadershipLeading new part development projects from concept through first article and production launchOverseeing engineering project planning, prioritization, staffing, and execution across multiple concurrent programsDriving standardized engineering practices for design, NPD, documentation, estimating, and ERP usageReviewing and approving engineering estimates to ensure accuracy, manufacturability, and cost alignmentCollaborating closely with manufacturing to support spinning, machining, heat treat, and shop‑floor development activitiesProviding hands‑on technical support on the production floor to resolve issues and remove bottlenecksImproving engineering efficiency and consistency through ERP utilization, process documentation, and best practicesMentoring and training early‑career engineers to build capability, accountability, and bench strengthSupporting continuous improvement, value engineering, and cost reduction initiativesPresenting technical information to customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholdersManaging engineering facilities, documentation control, and drawing standardsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
