Job Description

Engineering Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide direction, coaching, and professional development to the engineering team to build a high-performing organization
  • Allocate resources and prioritize workloads to meet project deadlines and business objectives
  • Conduct performance evaluations, including structured feedback processes
  • Reinforce a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence

Program Execution & Process Engineering

  • Lead end-to-end development programs, including research, validation, and production readiness
  • Oversee creation, validation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and technical documentation
  • Ensure engineering activities are effectively planned and executed using business systems and tools
  • Drive initiatives that improve process capability, efficiency, and scalability

Customer Engagement & Commercial Support

  • Partner with customers to define technical requirements and ensure successful project delivery
  • Support commercial activities by contributing to cost estimates, process feasibility, and technical proposals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders
  • Provide input on growth opportunities, including new technologies and market expansion

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure seamless project execution
  • Facilitate smooth transfer of programs from engineering development into full production
  • Ensure adherence to internal quality systems and external regulatory/certification requirements

Technical Leadership & Governance

  • Maintain and extend expertise in relevant manufacturing technologies, including welding and materials applications
  • Oversee engineering standards, documentation, and compliance practices
  • Lead structured problem-solving efforts and guide technical decision-making

The Successful Applicant

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (required)
  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master's or MBA) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility
  • Background in manufacturing and process development; experience with joining or welding technologies is advantageous
