Job Description

The Estimator - Commercial Construction - Maryland will:

  • Prepare conceptual, schematic, and hard‑bid estimates for commercial construction projects.
  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using drawings, specifications, and model‑based documents.
  • Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure complete scope coverage.
  • Develop project budgets, cost narratives, and value engineering options.
  • Evaluate constructability, risk factors, and market conditions impacting project costs.
  • Assist with proposal development, including pricing exhibits and scope clarifications.
  • Collaborate with project management and field teams during project turnover.
  • Maintain historical cost data and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating databases.

The Successful Applicant

The Estimator - Commercial Construction - Maryland will have:

  • 5+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction.
  • Proficiency with BuildingConnected, Bluebeam, and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of commercial interiors and related trades.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in‑office with flexibility in daily scheduling.
