Job Description

The Estimator will report to senior preconstruction leadership and play a critical role in developing competitive and accurate project estimates for a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects.

  • Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, design development, and lump sum estimates.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and pricing requirements.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses across all construction trades.
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and field teams during the preconstruction process.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions for clients.
  • Assist in bid submissions, proposal development, and project handoffs to the operations team.

The Successful Applicant

For the Estimator role, we are seeking:

  • 3+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor in commercial construction.
  • Proven experience estimating ground-up and/or renovation commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
  • Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and comprehensive bid packages.
  • Proficiency with industry estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to review plans, specifications, and contract documents with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
