About Our Client

Our client is a reputable general contractor hiring for an Estimator role in New Canaan.

Job Description

  • Review architectural drawings and project specifications
  • Perform quantity takeoffs
  • Develop detailed scopes of work
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor proposals
  • Meet with subcontractors on site
  • Prepare detailed construction estimates
  • Write homeowner construction contracts
  • Prepare production packages for field supervisors
  • Coordinate project turnover into production
  • Continuously improve estimating systems and processes

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator - Construction - New Canaan should have:

  • Experience estimating residential remodeling or custom homes
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods
  • Ability to confidently read architectural drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Desire to continually improve both themselves and the systems around them
  • Preferred software experience: Bluebeam Revu, Buildertrend, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook.



  • Experience with construction management software and emerging AI tools is a plus.
