A mid-sized firm is seeking an estimator to join their team on an upcoming pipeline of water and wastewater projects. They are open to seeing candidates that do not have experience in water and wastewater and are willing to learn.

The hiring company is a medium-sized organization operating in the water/wastewater industry headquartered out of New Hampshire with projects throughout MA and NH.

Job Description

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and documentation to determine project requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary project details.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
  • Provide support during the bidding process, including preparing bid proposals and schedules.
  • Monitor and update estimates as project scopes evolve or changes occur.
  • Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all estimates and project-related activities.
