Job Description

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial interior construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review plans, specifications, and project documents
  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Develop competitive bid packages and proposals
  • Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities
  • Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs
  • Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information
  • Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during preconstruction
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
  • Assist with budgeting, conceptual estimates, and change order pricing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction
  • Experience estimating interior renovations, tenant improvements, and build-out projects
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and scope reviews Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software
  • Knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and pricing
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred Equivalent industry experience will be considered
