Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsRoom for growth with a reputable Civil Contractor!Financial and Professional Advancement!About Our ClientMy client has been around for more than 75 years and specializes in Civil Utility and Site Development projects in NJ.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze construction drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and bid documents.Perform quantity takeoffs for civil site work, including:Mass excavation and gradingStormwater, sanitary, and water utilitiesRoadway, curbing, sidewalks, and pavingConcrete structures and miscellaneous site improvementsDevelop detailed, accurate cost estimates using estimating software and spreadsheets.Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.Evaluate project risks, constructability issues, and value engineering opportunities.Prepare bid summaries, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations staff during bid preparation and handoff.Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and scope review meetings as required.Maintain historical cost data and pricing databases.Assist with change order pricing and post-bid clarifications when needed.Ensure estimates comply with company standards, contract requirements, and safety considerations.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
