Job Description

The Mid-Level Estimator will report into the Director of Construction and play a key role in supporting preconstruction activities across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects. The successful Mid-Level Estimator will work closely with operations and project management teams to develop competitive and accurate cost plans.

  • Prepare detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimates for commercial construction projects
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine accurate project costs
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing proposals
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and operations teams throughout the preconstruction process
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions for clients
  • Assist in developing budgets, scopes, and bid packages for ground-up and renovation projects
  • Support proposal development and help maintain estimating best practices as the department continues to evolve

The Successful Applicant

For the Mid-Level Estimator we are seeking:

  • 3 to 8+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction
  • Experience estimating retail, office, mixed-commercial, restaurant, or similar project types
  • Proven background working on ground-up construction and/or renovation and interior fit-out projects
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, materials, and subcontractor markets
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience collaborating with Project Managers, field teams, and operational stakeholders
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with modern estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment



What's on Offer

  • Base salary of $95,000 - $120,000
  • Monthly vehicle allowance of $600 - $700
  • Travel home allowance of $350 every three weeks when assigned to projects requiring travel
  • Monthly per diem of approximately $3,300 for eligible travel assignments
