Job Description

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and timelines.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project scope.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate estimates align with project goals.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities within project estimates.
  • Maintain and update cost databases to ensure accurate and current pricing information.
  • Prepare bid proposals and present them to stakeholders as required.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project costs and budgets to ensure compliance with estimates.

A successful Estimator should have:

  • Experience with preparing cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and market costs.
  • Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
