We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to support the buildout, operation, and ongoing reliability of a regulated manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for maintaining critical facility systems, utilities, and production support equipment to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

Working closely with site leadership, this individual will assist with equipment installation, commissioning activities, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position plays a key role in supporting day-to-day operations while helping scale the facility for future growth.

Job Description

  • Support the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of facility systems, utilities, and production support equipment
  • Contribute to facility expansion efforts, including equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification activities
  • Execute and enhance preventive maintenance programs across utilities, cleanroom environments, and operational equipment
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration, and equipment records in accordance with quality and compliance standards
  • Support controlled environment operations, including monitoring conditions and responding to deviations
  • Coordinate and manage external vendors and service providers performing maintenance and calibration work
  • Respond to equipment and facility issues to minimize downtime and maintain continuity of operations
  • Assist with investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure all work is performed in alignment with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Support audits and inspections by providing documentation and technical input
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, quality, and engineering teams to meet site objectives
  • Assist with inventory management, spare parts tracking, and vendor coordination
  • Support implementation and optimization of maintenance tracking systems (e.g., CMMS)
  • Participate in off-hours support as needed to maintain operations

The Successful Applicant

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or equipment engineering within a regulated or high-compliance environment
  • Experience supporting controlled manufacturing operations and quality-driven environments
  • Familiarity with facility systems, utilities, and equipment maintenance practices



Skills & Capabilities

  • Working knowledge of facility utilities such as HVAC, water systems, electrical systems, and environmental controls
  • Understanding of equipment qualification, calibration, and preventive maintenance programs
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, including engineering drawings and equipment manuals
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to support non-standard hours when required
