Job Description

  • Design, develop, and enhance scalable Java-based applications that support front office securities finance and stock loan operations.
  • Build and maintain distributed, microservices-driven systems using Core Java, Spring Boot, and modern enterprise architecture principles.
  • Develop and integrate APIs, messaging solutions, and real-time transaction processing capabilities to connect with internal and external platforms.
  • Optimize database performance through efficient SQL development, data modeling, and query tuning for high-volume transactional environments.
  • Collaborate closely with business users, product teams, and technology partners to deliver high-quality solutions and drive platform modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption.

The Successful Applicant

  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and enterprise application development.
  • Proven experience building distributed systems and microservices architectures, with strong knowledge of REST APIs, messaging concepts, and relational databases/SQL.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with front office stakeholders, business users, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in Front Office trading environments is highly preferred, with Securities Finance, Equity Finance, or Stock Loan domain knowledge considered a strong plus.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES 3-DAYS ONSITE IN NYC EACH WEEK!
