Job Description

  • Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
  • Monitor site safety and enforce compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Address and resolve any on-site issues promptly to avoid delays and maintain workflow.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Oversee quality control to ensure projects meet the required standards for grocery and retail construction.
  • Ensure effective communication between all parties involved in the construction process.

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • Experience in managing ground up grocery AND retail construction projects.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage teams and schedules effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
