Job Description

Reporting to the Group CFO and partnering closely with the local leadership team, the Head of Finance will be responsible for providing both financial leadership and commercial insight across the North American business. The role combines traditional financial stewardship with strategic business partnering and will be highly visible within the organization. Main duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team of four to six accounting and finance professionals.
  • Serve as a key member of the North American leadership team.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes.
  • Provide commercial insight to support operational and strategic decision making.
  • Strengthen financial controls, governance, and compliance processes.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior operational stakeholders, providing challenge and support where appropriate.
  • Support a significant ERP and finance systems transformation initiative.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee US and Canadian tax compliance requirements
  • Support employee insurance, pension, and corporate compliance activities.
  • Drive greater consistency and alignment with the wider global finance organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and business performance.

The Successful Applicant

In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • CPA or CMA qualification.
  • 10+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
  • Previous experience as a Head of Finance, Finance Director, Divisional Controller, Group Financial Controller or equivalent role
  • Ability to drive stronger business partnering across finance and operations
  • Strong financial planning, forecasting, and performance management capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience supporting ERP or finance systems implementations
  • A commercial mindset combined with technical financial expertise.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • 1 to 2 days/ week REMOTE
