Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR function and act as a strategic partner to executive leadership
  • Develop and execute talent, retention, succession, and workforce planning strategies
  • Oversee payroll operations and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and employment legislation
  • Partner closely with operational leaders to support a large, field-based workforce
  • Lead HR due diligence, integration planning, and people-related workstreams for mergers and acquisitions
  • Standardize policies, processes, and practices across acquired businesses
  • Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and risk management programs
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, and leadership development initiatives
  • Build scalable HR infrastructure capable of supporting future growth
  • Drive organizational change and support business transformation initiatives
  • Develop and mentor HR team members while establishing a high-performance culture



The Successful Applicant

Applicants must be able to clearly demonstrate previous experience in the following areas:

  • Payroll leadership and oversight
  • HR compliance and employment law knowledge
  • Workplace safety programs and compliance
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (HR due diligence and integration)
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Experience within a Private Equity-backed business environment
  • Construction, infrastructure, industrial services, field services, or similar operational industries
  • Building and improving HR processes in growing organizations
  • Operating effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 10-12+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
  • Strong exposure to multi-site and operational workforces
  • Demonstrated success supporting business growth through acquisition and integration
  • Experience partnering directly with CEOs, founders, private equity sponsors, and executive teams
  • Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with tactical execution
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • Track record of building scalable people infrastructure in high-growth environments
