Job Description

The Healthcare Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Providing day-to-day leadership on healthcare construction projects within occupied environments.
  • Developing, maintaining, and driving project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinating and managing subcontractors and trade partners throughout construction activities.
  • Overseeing site safety programs and enforcing compliance with company standards.
  • Maintaining infection control protocols and ICRA requirements during active hospital operations.
  • Leading phased construction planning to minimize disruption to patients and healthcare staff.
  • Managing quality control processes and ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Collaborating directly with project managers, clients, consultants, and healthcare stakeholders.
  • Monitoring MEP-intensive construction activities and coordinating complex building systems.
  • Successfully delivering renovations, expansions, operating room upgrades, imaging suites, and critical healthcare infrastructure projects.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Healthcare Superintendent should have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction.
  • Proven healthcare construction experience, ideally within occupied hospital environments.
  • Demonstrated success delivering healthcare renovations, MOBs, hospital expansions, operating room projects, or similar facilities.
  • Strong understanding of infection control procedures, ICRA requirements, and interim life safety measures.
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades while maintaining project schedules and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of complex MEP systems and phased construction methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Healthcare construction and infection control training highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated, driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site and support critical project phases as required.
