Our client is a well-established Manhattan-based general contractor specializing in luxury commercial interiors. Their portfolio includes high-profile corporate offices, financial institutions, private client spaces, hospitality venues, and premium retail environments, with projects distinguished by exceptional finishes, demanding schedules, and meticulous attention to detail.

Job Description

As an High-End Commercial Superintendent - Manhattan, you will:

    • Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
    • Manage subcontractors, vendors, site logistics, and daily field operations.
    • Maintain project schedules and coordinate workflow to achieve critical milestones.
    • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
    • Conduct regular site meetings and coordinate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and project management teams.
    • Enforce site safety requirements and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations.
    • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize schedule impacts.
    • Oversee punch-list completion, inspections, and turnover procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful High-End Commercial Superintendent - Manhattan candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of construction experience with substantial Superintendent experience.
  • Proven track record delivering high-end commercial interior projects in Manhattan.
  • Experience managing luxury corporate interiors, financial fit-outs, hospitality, retail, or similarly high-specification projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a hands-on management style.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Local knowledge of Manhattan construction practices, occupied renovations, and union/non-union environments is highly desirable.
