We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions for a large, global manufacturing organization. This individual will serve as a strategic business partner to site and business leadership while providing hands-on leadership across employee relations, labor relations, talent management, performance management, compensation, compliance, and organizational development.

Job Description

  • Serve as the primary HR leader for a gloabl company overseeing multiple sites within Ohio.
  • Partner with plant/site leadership and corporate HR teams to drive organizational effectiveness and business performance.
  • Lead labor relations activities, including collective bargaining agreement administration, grievance management, contract interpretation, and union partnership initiatives.
  • Advise leaders on employee relations matters, performance management, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and international employment laws and regulations.
  • Drive talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession planning, onboarding, and retention strategies.
  • Lead annual performance review, compensation, and workforce planning processes.
  • Support organizational change management and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce metrics and provide recommendations to improve productivity, retention, and culture.
  • Partner with Environmental Health & Safety teams to promote a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Manage HR policies, procedures, and programs while ensuring consistency across locations.
  • Coach and develop people leaders on employee management best practices.
  • Lead and develop HR team members where applicable.

The Successful Applicant

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • 3+ years of HR leadership or management experience.
  • Significant experience supporting unionized manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or distribution environments.
  • Proven experience managing grievances, disciplinary processes, arbitrations, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience partnering directly with operations and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, global organization.



Preferred

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Experience supporting multiple sites or international operations.
  • Background in manufacturing, automotive, consumer products, food production, chemicals, or heavy industry.
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or UKG.
