Our confidential client, a premier industrial distribution company, is looking for an experienced Sales Support Specialist for their location in Greater Portland This is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant and expanding organization.

Job Description

Collaborate with management, branch and division personnel, and outside sales representatives to expand and develop the customer base.

  • Address customer inquiries at the sales counter, over the phone, and through email.
  • Process customer orders, check stock availability, shipping dates, and provide pricing quotes.
  • Apply mechanical principles to address and solve customer needs.
  • Offer solutions and recommend new and improved products.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-5 years of experience in the industrial distribution sector or a related field.
  • Familiarity with power transmission components (e.g., speed reducers, brakes, pulleys, sprockets, gearing, electric motors) is advantageous.
  • Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 or similar distribution software is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
