Job Description

  • Manage a variety of intellectual property matters, including litigation, prosecution, and counseling.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including patent applications, licensing agreements, and litigation pleadings.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on IP matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support clients' business objectives.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings as needed.
  • Stay updated on developments in intellectual property law to provide innovative legal solutions.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and effective legal guidance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admittance to the New York State Bar or eligibility to waive in.
  • 3-5 years' experience in trademark, copyright, and IP litigation
  • Strong exposure to TTAB proceedings and USPTO practice preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional analytical, research, and written communication skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
