Job Description

The suitable IT Security Systems Administrator's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Independently manage end-to-end security projects, including the architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and administration of enterprise security platforms.
  • Monitor and respond to security events.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents potential security exposures, misconfigurations, or noncompliance issues, and presents findings to management for remediation.
  • Support all network, internet, & firewall systems.
  • Support end users with software and email issues.
  • Support on-premise Active Directory and cloud Entra environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards

The Successful Applicant

The suitable IT Security Systems Administrator will have the following experience:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Systems Administration or Network Engineering, with a proven transition into enterprise Information Security.
  • Demonstrated experience independently deploying and troubleshooting enterprise applications or security tools from scratch (not just monitoring pre-existing deployments).
  • Information Security knowledge and/or experience, including familiarity with security architecture, security policies and procedures, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of application, system, and network security attacks and mitigation techniques.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, web proxies, SIEM, email, and vulnerability management concepts.
  • Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact.
  • Knowledge of the current IT threat landscape and emerging trends in cyber security.
  • Excellent communication
