Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee multiple K-12 and public-sector construction projects while serving as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, and field teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead all phases of K-12 construction projects, renovations, additions, and Job Order Contracting (JOC) work from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, procurement, subcontractors, and overall financial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Chicago Public Schools, school districts, municipal agencies, architects, and consultants.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects while effectively managing project teams.
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain schedule and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and owner requirements.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and Project Managers while promoting best practices across project teams.
  • Participate in preconstruction planning, budgeting, value engineering, and client presentations.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience with a General Contractor.
  • Significant experience managing K-12 educational construction projects.
  • Previous experience delivering Job Order Contracting (JOC) projects preferred.
  • Experience working directly with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of occupied renovations, phased construction, and public-sector procurement.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
