Our client is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the successful execution of commercial and multifamily construction projects throughout the Greater Lancaster, PA region. This individual will work closely with Project Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Description

  • Assist the Superintendent with daily site operations and project execution.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Monitor project schedules and help maintain production goals.
  • Conduct daily site walks to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist with safety inspections and enforce company safety policies.
  • Track jobsite progress and communicate updates to project leadership.
  • Help coordinate material deliveries and equipment utilization.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, logs, and field records.
  • Identify and proactively address construction issues before they impact schedule or budget.
  • Support project closeout activities, punch list completion, and turnover documentation.
  • Foster positive working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of construction field experience, preferably with a general contractor.
  • Experience supporting commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, educational, or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and a commitment to jobsite safety.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and field activities.
  • Proficiency with construction management software is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
