Job Description

The Lead Superintendent will have full ownership of on-site construction operations on ground-up commercial projects, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within quality standards, and in coordination with all stakeholders. This individual will work closely with Project Managers and Operations leadership while directing subcontractors and field personnel across active job sites.Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day field operations for commercial ground-up construction projects
  • Champion site safety programs and maintain compliance with all project requirements
  • Manage subcontractors, site logistics, manpower coordination, and sequencing activities
  • Drive project schedules, short-term look-aheads, and milestone achievement
  • Oversee quality control, inspections, punch lists, commissioning, and project closeout
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and local authorities having jurisdiction
  • Maintain detailed field reporting, project documentation, progress tracking, and as-built records
  • Support project planning, mobilization efforts, and proactive problem-solving throughout construction

The Successful Applicant

A successful Lead Superintendent should have:

  • 10+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects
  • Strong General Contractor background with a proven record of leading field operations
  • Required experience managing ground-up projects valued at $10M+
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors on complex, fast-paced construction sites
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, construction sequencing, logistics, and project execution
  • Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or similar platforms
  • Experience utilizing digital field reporting and construction documentation tools
  • Exposure to BIM/VDC processes is highly desirable
  • Life science, manufacturing, and multifamily project experience is preferred
