The Superintendent oversees all onsite procedures and ensures the quality / safety are upheld in accordance with company standards. This role in particular will involve managing large projects, mostly from the ground-up. The Superintendent is also the permanent onsite representative for the GC and will interact with owners regularly.

About Our Client

We are exclusively partnered with a top-rated GC based in Birmingham that focus their efforts across the Central AL market which includes Birmingham, Montgomery, Auburn, and Tuscaloosa. Their project portfolio consists of large work, mostly above the $50M value mark and spans nearly every sector excluding Industrial and Federal.

Currently, the company sits around 75 employees strong, with plans to continue its growth year-over-year. The GC has been in business for over 20 years but was taken under the wing of new ownership in 2018 and has flourished since then. They are privately-owned and maintain a hands-on leadership approach.

Job Description

  • Lead all on-site construction operations from preconstruction through project completion
  • Manage project schedules and coordinate daily activities of subcontractors and vendors
  • Ensure all work is executed safely and in accordance with project specifications
  • Conduct site meetings and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders
  • Oversee quality control and ensure projects meet client expectations
  • Coordinate inspections, permits, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Track project progress and proactively resolve field issues
  • Utilize construction management software, including Procore and related project tools

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-10+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction
  • Experience managing projects valued at $30M or greater is preferred
  • Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
  • Proficiency with Procore and standard construction technology platforms
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to work across Central AL as needed (Per-diem paid if necessary)
