The Superintendent will oversee all on-site operations for light industrial projects ranging from $5M to $50M. This individual will be responsible for managing schedules, subcontractors, safety compliance, and overall project execution while maintaining strong relationships with ownership groups and project stakeholders.

Our client is a rapidly growing general contractor specializing in warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, and light industrial construction projects throughout the Chicagoland market. Their portfolio includes ground-up facilities, tenant improvements, expansions, and facility upgrades for national and regional clients.

Job Description

  • Lead daily field operations from project mobilization through completion
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and production standards
  • Conduct site meetings and coordinate project activities
  • Monitor project milestones and proactively address delays
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on budget management and reporting
  • Coordinate inspections, punch-list activities, and final turnover

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial or industrial projects
  • Strong experience with warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics facilities
  • Ground-up construction experience preferred
  • Ability to lead multiple trades and maintain demanding schedules
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
