Its operations utilise a range of industrial processing and packaging equipment supported by dedicated maintenance, production, and compliance teamsJob DescriptionEquipment Maintenance & Production SupportTroubleshoot, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipment.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, steam, and control system issues using technical drawings, schematics, and testing equipment.Support equipment installations, calibrations, alignments, and optimisation initiatives.Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.Interpret technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and equipment documentation.Preventive Maintenance & Asset ManagementExecute and document preventive and corrective maintenance activities.Maintain maintenance records, equipment histories, and calibration documentation.Assist in managing preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts inventories.Identify potential equipment failures and recommend proactive solutions.Support maintenance planning and purchasing activities as required.Facility & Building MaintenanceOversee general facility upkeep, including building systems and infrastructure.Perform or coordinate minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, welding, and fabrication work as needed.Maintain lighting, electrical systems, doors, flooring, and related building components.Ensure facility systems support sanitary and safe manufacturing operations.Safety, Compliance & QualityEnforce company safety policies and maintenance best practices, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.Support compliance with applicable food safety, environmental, and workplace safety regulations.Conduct inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions.Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality throughout the facility.Team Leadership & Contractor CoordinationProvide guidance, training, and day-to-day support to maintenance personnel.Coordinate external contractors and service providers to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to required quality standards.Communicate maintenance priorities, equipment status, and downtime issues effectively across departments.Assist in developing maintenance procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantA successful Maintenance Supervisor should have:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.Experience using maintenance software, spreadsheets, and digital documentation tools.Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Experience within food manufacturing, packaging, or consumer goods production.Familiarity with preventive maintenance programmes and asset management systems.Experience working with conveyors, pumps, compressors, boilers, motors, VFDs, and PLC-controlled equipment.Welding and fabrication experience.Valid driver's licence.Ability to obtain or maintain forklift certification.What's on OfferCompetitive salary of $85,000 - $100,000 annually.Permanent position within the food industry.Opportunity to work in Los Angeles.This is an opportunity to play a key role in a growing manufacturing operation where maintenance excellence, safety, and continuous improvement are highly valued.
