The Manager, Data Center Development will support the development and commercialization of data center and large-load infrastructure opportunities across the U.S. This role will partner with development, engineering, interconnection, finance, legal, and M&A teams to evaluate sites, coordinate utility engagement, manage diligence activities, and advance projects through key development milestones.

Job Description

Strategic Partnerships & Commercial Development

  • Support the advancement of data center and large-load opportunities across multiple U.S. markets.
  • Assist in evaluating strategic partnerships, acquisition opportunities, and commercial structures.
  • Develop presentations, site marketing materials, and internal investment recommendations.
  • Support customer-facing and partner discussions related to infrastructure development opportunities.
  • Track market trends, utility developments, and emerging data center demand drivers.



Project Development & Site Evaluation

  • Evaluate potential sites based on power availability, infrastructure readiness, permitting considerations, land constraints, and overall project viability.
  • Coordinate due diligence activities including zoning, land use, environmental factors, utility service, and infrastructure assessments.
  • Support large-load application processes and utility engagement efforts.
  • Work closely with internal project development teams to advance opportunities through key development milestones.
  • Assist with land-related diligence, including leases, easements, purchase agreements, title, and survey reviews.



Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with development, interconnection, engineering, permitting, finance, legal, commercial, and M&A teams.
  • Coordinate external consultants, utilities, landowners, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Support internal decision-making through market analysis, development assessments, and project economics.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manager, Data Center Development should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Real Estate, Planning, Finance, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in renewable energy development, infrastructure development, real estate development, energy markets, utility-scale projects, or related sectors.
  • Experience supporting project development activities such as site diligence, permitting, land use, stakeholder engagement, interconnection, utility coordination, or commercial development.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related business tools.
