Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting and improving manufacturing operations, leading process optimization initiatives, troubleshooting production challenges, and providing technical expertise across thermoplastics manufacturing processes. The role will serve as a key engineering resource, partnering with production, quality, and commercial teams to improve operational performance and support business growth.

  • Optimize thermoplastic extrusion, compounding, and manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues using structured root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, manufacturing routings, and BOMs.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Support new product introductions, feasibility assessments, and customer requirements.

The Successful Applicant

The Manufacturing Engineer will possess a strong engineering background with proven experience in thermoplastics manufacturing and process improvement. They will combine technical expertise with strong communication skills and the ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Plastics, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in thermoplastics manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with extrusion, compounding, process optimisation, and statistical methods.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, ideally SolidWorks, and engineering documentation.
  • Eligible to obtain security clearance and authorised to work as a U.S. citizen.
