They are ISO 9001:2015 certified and are experiencing steady growth as they add to their team.Job DescriptionInterpret customer requirements and define appropriate machining/ tooling specificationsDesigns machining fixture for current products and/or new product implementationPrepare documentation packages (CNC tooling/setup sheets) for new and modified products and processesStay abreast of equipment, material, products and process trends in the machining industryDesign improvements to products and processes for cost savingsOversee/approve programming of prototype machining and tooling requirementsMaintain product standard routing times in ERP systemTrack Productivity Improvements, Tooling Performance Improvements and Cost Reductions.Evaluate machining processes to assure the requirements of the Quality Plan are met.Improve existing manufacturing methods and consult with tooling vendors as required to optimize CNC program and tooling performance.Understand and follow all organization and department safety policies and proceduresDevelop product and production process requirements, standards, and associated documentationOversee the tool room, including the maintenance, repair, and availability of tooling, fixtures, and gauges needed to support production. Coordinate tool room priorities with production and ensure tooling is ready when needed.Perform product, process, and system audits, maintain logs, and analyze dataPerform analysis of failed machining process and assist/provide development of corrective actionEvaluate yield, performance, and other statistical data for trends and develop corresponding product or process improvementsUnderstand and clarify customers' needs and provide product application supportSolve machining problems in production department and ensure process documentations are updatedDevelop operator work instructions and tooling data sheets for production employeesReview CNC machining programmers work using CAD/CAM softwareImplement Engineering Design Changes as related to the machining processesTrain production operators in the new or revised machining processPerform other duties as assignedMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
