Job Description

  • Support manufacturing engineering projects focused on molding equipment, production processes, and automation initiatives.
  • Design, evaluate, and implement manufacturing systems, equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Assist in the development, qualification, and maintenance of molding-based production lines.
  • Document manufacturing processes, equipment specifications, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Analyze manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, process, and production-related issues to minimize downtime and improve performance.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to implement process improvements and design changes.
  • Support equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and validation activities.
  • Develop and implement quality-focused and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure manufacturing equipment and processes comply with safety and operational requirements.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to project execution and continuous improvement programs.
  • Support special projects and engineering initiatives as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations, production equipment, and process development activities.
  • Knowledge of molding technologies, including encapsulation molding, transfer molding, compression molding, potting, or related manufacturing processes.
  • Proven troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with equipment installation, qualification, and process validation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multidisciplinary team environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, risk assessment techniques, and design of experiments is advantageous.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and motivated to drive operational improvements.
