Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will:

    • Design, develop, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to increase throughput, reduce defects, and improve overall process capability.
    • Provide day‑to‑day technical support to production operations, troubleshooting process issues and driving root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
    • Specify, evaluate, and support installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
    • Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, process flow diagrams, and technical reports.
    • Support new product introduction (NPI), process development, and scale‑up from pilot to full production.
    • Partner with Quality Engineering to ensure processes meet internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
    • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Ceramics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent hands‑on experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant hands‑on experience
    • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or AutoCAD for the design of tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
    • Experience supporting high‑throughput manufacturing environments and using statistical analysis to identify and resolve quality issues contributing to product defects.
    • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies, including Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S.
    • Experience applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and present technical data to diverse stakeholders.
