Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities, reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance equipment performance.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and visual management systems.
  • Design and introduce fixtures, tooling, and process aids to improve consistency, ergonomics, and operational performance.
  • Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new product introductions, including process development and production planning.
  • Partner with engineering, tooling, and quality teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and meet customer requirements.
  • Support production launches, product transfers, sampling activities, and bill of materials reviews.
  • Collaborate with quality teams on root cause investigations, corrective actions, and process improvements.
  • Work with maintenance, tooling, supply chain, and external partners to enhance operational performance and reliability.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, efficiency gains, process stability, and cost savings.
  • Support KPI tracking, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across manufacturing operations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, participate in design reviews, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Approximately 3 to 7 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Background in plastics manufacturing, with injection molding experience preferred.
  • Experience with process development, tooling, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies, robotics, or collaborative robots is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MES systems and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects through completion in a fast-paced environment.
