Job Description

  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Investigate production issues, nonconforming materials, and customer-related concerns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Support equipment installations, process transfers, and capital improvement projects.
  • Develop and execute equipment and process validation protocols.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and statistical analysis tools to drive improvements.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Leadership teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Support continuous improvement projects that enhance product quality and overall plant performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience within a regulated or high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with process validation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing data analysis tools.
  • Experience with Minitab and CAD software is preferred.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively on the manufacturing floor.
  • Medical device, metals manufacturing, or other highly regulated industry experience is preferred.
