Our client is a specialized manufacturer that primarily focuses on metal stamping and metal fabrication for customers in a variety of industries. Due to organizational growth, they are looking to bolster their engineering team as their customer base grow. Backed by a global parent organization, they are adding more resources in terms of new machinery and headcount to support expansion.

Job Description

  • Responsible for creation/interpretation/handling of engineering documents and schematics
  • Troubleshoot as needed, walking production floor and working with operators and other engineering personnel to solve issues
  • Oversee manufacturing processes including stamping, welding, assembly, and roll-forming to identify areas for improvements
  • Assist in the quoting of projects from customers, as well as ensuring manufacturability based on customer specifications
  • Drive improvements to manufacturing to realize cost savings

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar 3D modeling software
  • Previous exposure to working closely on projects, including interfacing with customers and estimating project costs
  • Background in metals manufacturing is preferred
  • Technical degree preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Polish is a huge plus
