Job Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Manufacturing Engineers, NPD Engineers, Programmers, and Manufacturing Technicians.
  • Serve as the technical authority for machining, tooling, and manufacturing process improvement.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, EH&S, and HR to align manufacturing objectives with business goals.
  • Oversee manufacturing processes, documentation, and engineering standards.
  • Support the successful transition of new products from prototype to full-scale production.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and execute engineering strategies that improve production capabilities and efficiency.
  • Analyze manufacturing performance metrics to identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
  • Support capital equipment investments and advanced manufacturing technology implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and quality requirements.
  • Establish departmental KPIs and drive accountability for results.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant



The ideal Manufacturing Engineering Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of engineering leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting CNC machining, fabrication, assembly, or precision manufacturing operations.
  • Strong background in manufacturing process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated success leading engineering teams within complex production environments.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proven project management experience from concept through implementation.
  • Strong understanding of machining technologies, tooling, and manufacturing systems.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, MS Dynamics, and D365.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong continuous improvement mindset.
