Employees have direct exposure to manufacturing processes and play a meaningful role in improving product performance, efficiency, and scalability.Job DescriptionSupport and optimize extrusion-based manufacturing processes through hands-on engineering involvement.Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve consistency and quality.Evaluate and introduce new quality control equipment and measurement technologies.Train production staff on inspection techniques, operational best practices, and quality standards.Maintain, calibrate, and validate measurement and inspection tools.Troubleshoot manufacturing processes directly on the production floor to improve efficiency and output.Analyze and optimize key equipment systems, including calibration tools, vacuum systems, and in-line measurement devices.Identify opportunities to reduce waste, increase throughput, and enhance process reliability.Translate customer requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions for custom engineered products.Support quoting and pre-production activities by developing preliminary process plans.Generate and manage Manufacturing Orders (MOs) to ensure smooth production execution.Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and leadership to meet operational goals.Support applied research and development efforts, including testing new materials and refining processes.Document newly developed processes to ensure repeatability and scalability.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
