Job Description

This Mechanical Automation Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Designing and building mechanical automation systems in-house
  • Leading automation projects from concept through final assembly
  • Designing manufacturing cells for assembly, machining, and fixturing
  • Supporting machine design, CNC, and fabrication efforts
  • Collaborating closely with production, engineering, and fabrication teams
  • Troubleshooting and improving existing automation and equipment
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship (Level IV)
  • Supporting safe, efficient shop-floor execution

The Successful Applicant

A successful Mechanical Automation Engineer will have:

  • 6+ years of mechanical or automation engineering experience
  • Strong background in mechanical design and machine building
  • Experience with CNC, machining, or fabrication environments
  • Hands-on experience in a shop or production setting
  • Ability to lead projects end-to-end
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with operators and engineers
  • Automation experience from a mechanical (non-controls) focus
