Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer will:

  • Lead and contribute to engineering design reviews to ensure product feasibility and performance
  • Develop product requirements, specifications, and timelines in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Design, model, and document mechanical components using 3D CAD tools
  • Conduct feasibility studies and generate innovative product concepts
  • Perform engineering calculations and analyses to validate design decisions
  • Develop and execute testing and validation procedures for new products
  • Build and refine prototypes for testing and customer demonstrations
  • Prepare and review technical drawings, documentation, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, testing, and external suppliers
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables across the full lifecycle
  • Manage engineering changes and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Present progress updates and technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing

The Successful Applicant

The Mechanical Engineer should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 2-3+ years of hands-on engineering/design experience
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks or similar)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and product development processes
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to work from limited or evolving requirements and translate them into functional designs
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly
  • Exposure to industry standards (e.g. ISO, AS9100) or regulated environments
  • Experience within electronics, RF systems, or similar technical products
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
