Job Description

As the Estimator, you will report into senior preconstruction leadership and play a key role in developing competitive, accurate pricing for mechanical construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets from concept through fully developed construction documents
  • Performing quantity take-offs and scope reviews across mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping
  • Soliciting, evaluating, and leveling subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Identifying scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities
  • Supporting bid strategy, proposal development, and final submissions
  • Collaborating closely with project management and operations teams to ensure smooth handover
  • Maintaining historical cost data and contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes

The Successful Applicant

For the Estimator role, we are seeking:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within mechanical, commercial, or industrial construction
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, or related mechanical systems
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Experience using estimating and take-off software (such as Bluebeam or similar tools)
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong commercial awareness
  • A detail-oriented, analytical mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
