MEP Construction Project Manager

• Plan, organize, and manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate project activities including design review, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Lead weekly procurement reviews to track material orders, submittals, equipment deliveries, and potential schedule impacts.
• Ensure compliance with NEC requirements, applicable building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Track and manage material submittals, procurement packages, and long-lead equipment.
• Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and field personnel to prevent delays and maintain project progress.
• Review project drawings and specifications to identify gaps, conflicts, or missing information.
• Prepare and manage RFIs to resolve design and construction issues quickly and effectively.
• Communicate regularly with field teams to provide direction, clarify scope, and support project execution.
• Visit job sites weekly to review project status, labor needs, schedules, materials, tools, and outstanding issues.
• Partner with foremen and field leadership to ensure strong coordination between office and field operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and general contractors.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships while professionally addressing project challenges.
• Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, billing, change orders, and subcontractor payments.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Attend and participate in regular project meetings and coordination calls.
• Maintain detailed project documentation including contracts, schedules, RFIs, submittals, permits, inspections, and change orders.
• Coordinate project closeout activities, final testing, commissioning, and turnover.
• Champion a safety-first culture across all assigned projects and job sites.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure OSHA and company compliance.
• Collaborate with safety personnel to proactively identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
