This individual will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously while leading project execution, client relationships, financial performance, and field coordination from preconstruction through closeout.

Job Description

The responsibilities of an MEP Project Manager:

  • Manage multiple mechanical construction projects from kickoff through completion.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, subcontractors, and overall project execution.
  • Coordinate closely with field teams, superintendents, engineers, vendors, and clients.
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Maintain project financials, including forecasting, change orders, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • Lead client meetings and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems are installed according to project requirements and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with estimating, preconstruction, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage risk, resolve project challenges, and maintain schedule commitments.
  • Support project closeout activities, commissioning efforts, and turnover documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful MEP Project Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor or Mechanical/MEP Contractor.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects valued at $20M+.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and MEP systems.
  • Experience reviewing mechanical plans, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Knowledge of ductwork, sheet metal systems, mechanical equipment, and commercial plumbing installations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software, scheduling tools, and financial reporting.
