Job Description

  • Manage all aspects of MEP systems installation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Oversee on-site operations, coordinating with subcontractors and project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for MEP systems.
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges related to MEP installations.
  • Collaborate with project managers to maintain schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure proper documentation of progress, changes, and updates throughout the construction process.
  • Monitor compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety requirements.

You will play a critical role in ensuring sequencing, coordination, and commissioning are executed flawlessly.

  • Lead daily on-site MEP construction activities across large data center projects
  • Coordinate electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and low-voltage trade partners
  • Manage sequencing, installation, and commissioning readiness for critical systems
  • Ensure adherence to aggressive project schedules and milestone deadlines
  • Oversee safety, quality, and site cleanliness standards on all MEP work
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and MEP Managers to align execution
  • Drive commissioning efforts including power-up, testing, and system turnover

The Successful Applicant

For the Traveling MEP Superintendent - Data Center Construction, we are seeking:

  • 7-10+ years of MEP field supervision experience in commercial construction
  • Strong experience with data center or mission critical projects preferred
  • Deep knowledge of electrical distribution, HVAC systems, and critical infrastructure
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and field teams on complex builds
  • Experience with commissioning, startup, and turnover of MEP systems
  • Familiarity with tools such as Procore and construction scheduling software
  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • Willingness to travel across Texas or work on a project-based assignment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
