Our client is seeking an MEP Superintendent who can manage this project from the beginning to the end and will mitigate constructability, technical and coordination issues on site. This person will also ensure the contractor is performing the work to the applicable standards, per Contract and schedule.

Our client is a Construction Management / Owners Rep firm that's focused on Public Works and Healthcare projects throughout the New York Metro markets

Job Description



-Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer

-Develop and maintain site coordination plan, in coordination with Sr. Project Manager

-Conduct quality inspections

-Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts

-Monitor costs, including labor time and material Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others

-Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules, and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates

-Prepare and submit Superintendent's Daily Reports to document weather and field conditions, trade and subcontractor manpower, progress and conditions impacting the project, as well as Accident Reports, Quality Reports, etc.

-Conduct subcontractor meetings

-Attend and participate in project meetings

-Providing training and education to support field superintendents and engineers

-Actively mentoring other Superintendents and upcoming Assistant Superintendents to promote their development

-Help set a positive tone for the project. This would include instilling an "esprit de corps" among the workers, staff, sub-contractors, and all persons involved in the project.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • Education and/or Experience
  • College degree, preferred
  • OSHA certification
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • MEP experience is a must
